Day 5, May 8

I am writing this from the welcome dinner and we had a good official practice today. It was hot and some of the dogs had to be cooled down, but I got in the training I wanted.

Fable and Tangle are now back in the hotel, hopefully resting. The competition starts tomorrow and I’m confident.

Fable looked good today although I did get a little concerned when she got hot.

Day 4, May 7

Met up with the rest of the team and went to an unofficial practice. Fable nearly lost her mind, it was the first equipment she has seen since leaving last Saturday. Nice people at the practice site and we got a demo of Belgium Obedience.

The hotel is no longer passable and we moved to a new hotel.

Day 3, May 6

The weather is awesome!

They are out sightseeing, having a nice relaxing day. Rachel phoned in her report while she and Dana were enjoying coffee & tea at a sidewalk cafe. The nice policemen that assisted them when they arrived, drove by and waved.

Day 2, May 5

They drove to Brugge for the day. Driving is easier today—Rachel is having to relearn how to drive a stick shift.

The dogs had a great time playing in the fountain and visiting the chocolate and lace shops. The dogs can go anywhere.

Rachel and Dana enjoyed the evening life in Belgium! Dana had fun dancing.

Day 1, May 4

Dana and Rachel arrived in Amsterdam with no issues ….. On the flight, their row had some electrical problems with the lights going on and off at will above their heads and the brightness going up on the movie screens in front of them…..Made it difficult to relax or sleep.

They picked up their rental car and drove to Kortrijk. Unfortunately, they couldn’t find the hotel. While pulled over to look at the map, the police came by to see if they were okay and escorted them to their hotel.

The hotel is…passable.

Dana and Rachel stayed up almost all night.
